Parental Involvement

Parents are welcome in our school and are encouraged to take an active interest in their child's education.

Parents are actively encouraged to assist wherever possible and make significant contributions in terms of classroom support, working bees, open days, and orientation programs. This helps to demonstrate to your children that volunteering is a good thing.

We believe that every single one of us can help in a small or large capacity. As such, parents are regularly invited to help in classrooms and with a number of other activities including student banking, book covering and stop and drop assistance.

All Parent volunteers must complete an online Child Protection Course before being allowed to assist in the school. Please visit the Building Child Safe Communities website for more information.

Register your interest

Parents and guardians are able to assist the school in a variety of ways when the need arises, whether it's working in the classroom or assisting with our computerised school banking - there's a job for each and every person, no matter how big or small.

We encourage parents who are interested in volunteering with the school to register their interest below.

Parents and Friends (P&F)

The St Michael's P&F works to build the school community and support the vision of our learning community.

Our wonderful parents organise various events and activities which take place at the school. Joining one of these groups is a great way to meet other St Michael's parents and join in the ever-growing social life of the school community.

The more hands, the lighter the burden.
