We help every student shine!

At St Michael's, we believe it is important for students to pursue interests to find what they are passionate about. We give them exposure to a range of exciting opportunities to unlock their creative potential, develop a talent or follow a passion.

Creative and Performing Arts

We encourage our students to explore their passions and talents. We have a range of opportunities available for students to participate in creative and performing arts activities and programs such as music, drama and dance.

The school has a specialist music teacher, school choir and school band, allowing students to express themselves through music. Whole school concerts and Creative Arts expos provide opportunities for students to showcase what they have learnt.

School Sport

Sport is a valued part of a school’s curriculum, contributing to the development of the whole child by providing opportunities for social, physical, emotional and moral learning. Participation, enjoyment and skill development are the cornerstones of school sport.

Every year Years 2-6 participate in school athletics, swimming and cross country carnivals. Students who perform well may be selected to represent our school and the diocese at inter-school meets. Students in Kindergarten and Year 1 participate in an Infant Sport Fun day held at school.

Representative pathways in sports such as netball, cricket, soccer and football are also available through the Parramatta Diocesan Primary Schools Sports Council.

Social Justice

Our students are offered a wide variety of local community activities to help develop a sense of pride, respect and responsibility for themselves and others. This positive participation and actions can be seen in how we interact and learn with one another, work collaboratively and take ownership of our behaviour as well as active involvement in faith-based experiences.

Excursions, Camps and Retreats

Our students benefit greatly from school trips where they are able to observe new things not available at school, such as rare and exotic wildlife and plants, different cultures and the stories of our history. These experiences lead to deeper understanding of learning subjects.

Camps and retreats are also wonderful opportunities for students to develop independence, grow in faith, form strong friendships and make life-long memories!.

STEM MAD

Our school proudly participates in the STEM MAD program, where students engage in projects that "Make a Difference" through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. This initiative inspires students to create solutions for real-world challenges, often focused on sustainability, social justice, and community well-being.

Each year, our students showcase their innovative work from prototypes to digital designs at the annual STEM MAD event, celebrating creativity and fostering essential STEM skills.

Guided by our dedicated teachers, students collaboratively plan and bring their ideas to life, building purpose and responsibility through meaningful projects.
